We believe that learning should not be confined just to the classroom. We maximise opportunities to take learning into different environments to encourage the girls to explore new avenues and broaden their minds. Our girls benefit from being part of the GDST family of schools, which provides opportunities to interact with likeminded girls in a range of exciting competitive and collaborative events.
There are opportunities to compete at high level sporting rallies hosted by different GDST schools across the country and to perform in the bi-annual GDST Young Choir of the Year competition, with the final held at a prestigious London venue. At annual Mathematics, Science and Techathon Conferences, girls can explore mathematical concepts at the Institute of Mathematics at Oxford, be amazed at the wonder of science at the Royal Institute and share their digital knowledge with experts in this field.
Each year, girls in Year 6 take part in an Enterprise Event supported by GDST staff and visiting speakers from a range of industries. They work on a collaborative project and acquire skills which will prepare them for their working life.
Being a member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) opens up a wealth of opportunities in academic, sporting and creative fields to compete and collaborate within mixed school environments.
