The Crompton Library is situated directly above the spacious Sixth Form Common Room and is open for private study from 8.15am to 5.30pm.
Staffed by a fully qualified Librarian, who provides outstanding support for sixth form students studying the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification). The Librarian, Mrs Jackie Murrell, has had several years experience of overseeing an array of projects, ordering in specific resources for individuals to enable them to achieve an A*. The Library is central to the School, an extensive and popular resource designed to support and stimulate teaching and learning. Recently refurbished, it is a light, airy space ideal for quiet study or relaxing with a good book.
The range of fiction is broad and stimulating. The non-fiction stock reflects curriculum subjects but also includes material for leisure reading and independent research. Resources include books, journals, newspapers and online databases. Useful websites are collected online by the Librarian as a series of Netvibes pages.
